2018 Rummage Sale Was a Success – THANK YOU!

All praise and thanksgiving to God Our Almighty and Our Lord Jesus Christ in union with the Holy Spirit! Words cannot express the gratitude we feel as we experienced the most successful rummage sale to date for the benefit of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Haitian Orphanage. All proceeds go to support this Catholic charity which provides for the needs of the orphans. To learn more about this organization, please see the History
For the actual week of the rummage sale, there were approximately 30 5th-8th graders, 20 volunteers with set-up, 15 volunteers each day x3 days working the rummage, and at least 15 cleanup workers.
To those who donated – we thank you for sharing your treasures!
To those who spent many Saturdays pricing – we thank you for giving us your precious time!
To those who unloaded hundreds of boxes throughout the week – we thank you for your strength!
To those who advertised and educated the community about our cause – we thank you for your resources!
To those who transported the entire basement of items up 2 flights of stairs – we thank you for your energy!
To those who staged, and sorted and sorted and sorted – we thank you for your perseverance!
To those who prayed for consistent patrons and for success – we thank you for prayers answered!
To those who purchased – we thank you for your generosity!
To those who donated monetarily – we thank you for your acts of charity!
To those who worked during the sale – we thank you for smiling, your math skills, and your packing abilities!
To those who packed the extra items into the Muncie Mission truck – we thank you for your sweat!
To Fr. Donald who offered a heartfelt prayer before the rummage started and was frequently present – we thank you for supporting us!
To Fr. Dudzinski who offered the facilities and anything we needed – we thank you for your constant love and encouragement!
To Our Lady of Perpetual Help who has been guiding us throughout the whole process – we thank you for bestowing countless graces upon us!
Fr. Andre needed $23000 to complete the roof on the activity center as was outlined in the previous blog. We hoped to raise $10000.
The actual rummaged netted $9100+ and we received almost $14000 in generous and unexpected donations.
Never would we have imagined that in one weekend, we could meet the goal!
